This Week in STEM: A 3D Printer for Kids

3D Printing is cool.  There is just no other way to say it.  5 years from now, we will probably look back on this moment like we did before we had smartphones – “I can’t believe we ever lived in a world where you could only print things on paper.  How 2D!”  But for now, it’s completely awesome.  We love companies like Makerbot who have made incredible strides in bringing 3D printing to the masses but now there is a new goal – bringing 3D printing to kids.

Printeer is a project that is aiming to build a 3D printer that kids can use with an iPad – design something on the iPad and print it out in 3D.  It’s as simple as that.
